If you are looking to enter a Classical Ballet or a Demi-Character dance in the Dance World Cup competition please ensure you take note of the following:

- In all Children’s classes (13 years and under) pointe shoes are not permitted.
- For BALLET soloists aged 12 – 13 only we have a separate class, KSPB Children Solo Pointe Ballet class.
- If a girl aged 12-13 wears pointe shoes in a duet, trio, quartet or group dance then the entry will be entered into the relevant JUNIOR class. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THIS IS STATED ON YOUR ENTRY FORM IF THIS IS THE CASE.
- All dances in this style must show classical ballet steps throughout the dance.
- In the JUNIOR and OPEN age groups it is recommended that Classical music be used.
- In the MINI age group original classical choreography IS NOT ALLOWED
- In the CHILDREN age group it is recommended NOT to use original classical choreography but it is permitted.
- In the JUNIOR age group it is recommended but not compulsory that some of the girls dancing in the group performances wear pointe shoes.
- They may be a purely classical ballet performance or a dance that tells a story or presents a certain character, e.g. animals, characters from fairy tales or similar.
- If the steps of the dance show more modern movements then the dance should be entered into the relevant modern class.
- If the Demi-Character dance is danced with character shoes then the performance should be entered into the National, Folklore section.
- Quartets will have 4 dancers.
- Groups must have a minimum of 5 dancers.
