- These are dances that show the typical style of dance from a certain country. The basic steps may come from classical ballet but they may also come from a totally different dance style.
- The music used in the dance should be relevant to that country.
- National or Folklore dances from any country may be presented by dance students from any country.
- An Irish dance in hard shoes should be entered into the National or Folklore section.
- Quartets must have 4 dancers.
- Groups must have a minimum of 5 dancers.
